Winter Skincare- Clinique Moisture Surge

With the unpredictable English weather showering us with rain and snow and the Summer seeming a million miles away, keeping up a Winter skin care regime is vital.

My skin, especially on my face, is the driest it has ever been due to this bitter weather. In particular my T-Zone area, the skin is dry and flakey even after moisturising. A thorough skin care regime which involves more than just moisturiser is necessary for my skin type in this weather.

My every day moisturiser is Clinique's 'Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion' which is designed for skin types 1 & 2 (1- Very Dry to Dry, 2- Dry Combination). Throughout the Spring and Summer this proved a great moisturiser and was great as an aftersun whilst on holiday. However as the Winter months crept in, my skin was getting drier and drier.

I visited a Clinique counter and was advised by the beautician that skin care goes far beyond just moisturiser. She suggested that I use their 'Moisture Surge' for 'Extended Thirst Relief'.
This comes in a light gel form which feels silky to the touch and is to be applied over your moisturiser to help lock in and add that extra moisture to the skin. The Moisture Surge creates an invisible film leaving the skin feeling soft and protected from the harsh winter weather.
It retails at £32 for a 50ml pot. You only need to use the smallest amount so this really does go far and is well worth the money.
